I believe everyone deserves to see themselves in a book, and that belief shapes my writing.
I completed National Novel Writing Month for the first time in November of 2011, when I was a sophomore in high school. The resulting novel led me to become the youngest quarterfinalist of the year in the international Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition. I continued my streak of writing a novel a year in my junior and senior years, and wrote a fourth as part of my final project at Oxford Brookes University.
My fifth book, a YA Contemporary comped to GIRLS IN THE MOON and FAR FROM THE TREE, called SYNONYMS FOR US, led to my signing with Erica Bauman of Aevitas Creative Management. We're currently working on SYNONYMS together, and I'm drafting a new YA Contemporary with her guidance.
